The brandies from the traditional KWV (Koöperatiewe Wijnbouwers Vereniging van South Africa) rank among the best in the world. KWV, based in Paarl, offers a whole range of high-quality brandies. Despite its young age, the “Three” already carries a respectable amount of oak character from the cooperative’s Limousin oak barrels. In this price range, there’s no better brandy on the market!

The fruity aromas of the grape distillate dominate in this entry-level brandy. For the curious, it’s worth tasting the trio of the three-, five-, and ten-year-old versions side by side. This allows you to clearly compare how the aromas evolve over time during aging.

KWV recently increased the alcohol content from 32% ABV to 43% ABV.
